ABOUT THE COMPOSER
Meet The Person Creating The Music
Cristina "Trinity" Vélez-Justo is a music composer for film and media. She relocated from Los Angeles in 2018 after finishing the Emmy's music internship and working as an assistant to a few established composers.
Currently, Cristina works full-time from Charlotte through her business ReelScoring, LLC, She scores features, shorts, commercials, video games, and more.
Trinity also teaches as an adjunct professor at UNC School of the Arts in the MFA Film Music Composition program in Winston-Salem (where she received her MFA), as well as guest-lectures at various universities, film festivals and groups. She takes pride in educating industry professionals on the importance of music in film and how to successfully work with a composer.
Cristina is an active member of the Charlotte film community and an avid educator in cultivating strong and healthy professional relationships. She is the founder of the South Charlotte Film-Folk Meetup and the Magnolia Film Society (MFS), a group that supports and empowers aspiring and professional women filmmakers from Charlotte and surrounding areas.
